Giant Group Presents Frames of Freedom of BUFT, powered by Fashion Step Bangladesh and co-powered by PUSAB and S&A Associates- the BUFT National Photography Exhibition 2025 organized by the BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) Photography Club, concluded successfully at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, following a vibrant three-day showcase held from 18, 21 & 22 December 2025.
The national-level exhibition showcased 130 outstanding photographs, carefully selected through a rigorous judging process from 7,661 entries submitted from across the country, celebrating visual storytelling, creative freedom, and contemporary photographic excellence. The event concluded on 12 January 2026 with a prize-giving ceremony. Mr. Faruque Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of BUFT; Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Adviser of BUFT; Prof. Dr. Md. Alamgir Hossain, Acting Vice Chancellor of BUFT; Mrs. Sharmin Hassan, Director of Giant Group; DG of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Mr. Rezauddin Stalin; and Mr. Abdullah Al Mahfuz Zakaria, President of PUSAB addressed the gathering, while the Chief Guest, Mr. Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, Hon’ble Adviser, Ministry of Cultural Affairs, emphasized the role of photography as a powerful medium for cultural expression and social reflection. Awards were presented in categories including Best Photograph, Jury Award, and Special Mentions, followed by cultural performances and the honoring of sponsors and partners.
The exhibition was formally inaugurated on 18 December by Mr. Faruque Hassan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of BUFT, who attended as Chief Guest. Mr. Yousuf Tushar, President of the Bangladesh Photographic Society, graced the occasion as Guest of Honor, while Prof. Ayub Nabi Khan; Mr. Rafiquzzaman, Registrar of BUFT; Mr. Mohammad Imtiaj, Director, Department of Public Relations of BUFT; and Mr. Rayed Barkat, Adviser of the Club attended as Special Guests. Following the inauguration, the distinguished guests toured the gallery and praised the artistic depth, technical merit, and narrative strength of the exhibited photographs. On 21 December, the exhibition was opened to the public and received an enthusiastic response from photography enthusiasts, students, professionals, and art lovers. The BUFT Photography Club extended heartfelt thanks to all guests, photographers, sponsors, partners, and visitors whose support and participation made the Frames of Freedom of BUFT National Photography Exhibition 2025 a meaningful and memorable celebration of photographic art in Bangladesh.
