BUFT National Quiz Competition 2025 Concludes Successfully

BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) successfully hosted the “M&J Group Presents BUFT National Quiz Competition 2025,” powered by Giant Group and organized in association with the BUFT Brand Ambassador Team, on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the BUFT Auditorium, Nishatnagar, Turag, Dhaka. The Department of English of the American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB), in collaboration with the TESOL Society of Bangladesh, organized “Discover English 2025: Student Conference on English Language and Literature” with the motto: A conference by the students and for the students!. AIUB Students Recognized at Bangladesh ICT and Innovation Network

A student team Tech Wing - comprising of Kiyas Mahmud, Md. Maruf Hossain Munna and Syeda Shakira Akter — from the Department of Computer Science, American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), has been honored with an Award in the “Business Services” category (Student Division) at the Bangladesh ICT and Innovation Awards 2025 for their project “Hybrid Fraud Shield”. The award ceremony took place on October 18, 2025, at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), celebrating outstanding technological innovations and visionary projects from across the country. Supervised by Prof. Dr. Afroza Nahar and Ms. Nuzhat Tabassum, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, the project uses Artificial Intelligence to detect and prevent online financial fraud in real time. The Ideas Challenge 2025 Held at AIUB

On Saturday, November 1, the Ideas Challenge 2025 competition was held at the American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB) campus, organized by Shomoy, the Social Welfare Club of AIUB. This year’s theme was “Ideas that Change Lives and Shape the Future.” The event was inaugurated by Mr. Ishtiaq Abedin, Founding Member of AIUB. Also present were Group Captain (Retd.) ISU Signs MoU with INTI International University to Strengthen Global Academic Collaboration

International Standard University (ISU), Bangladesh, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with INTI International University, Malaysia, aiming to foster international academic collaboration and broaden exchange opportunities for students and faculty. BRAC University appoints Professor Arshad Mahmud Chowdhury as new pro-vice-chancellor

Professor Arshad Mahmud Chowdhury, Dean of the BSRM School of Engineering and Director of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), has been appointed as Pro-Vice-Chancellor of BRAC University, effective from 20 October 2025. Serving as the dean since 2019 and IQAC director since 2022, Professor Chowdhury has over two decades of academic, research, and leadership experience in higher education in Bangladesh and abroad. Professor Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, a distinguished academician and Dean of the School of Pharmacy, has been appointed as the new Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of Asia Pacific (UAP).
