Midland Bank signs MOU With ClinicaL

Midland Bank PLC (MDB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with CliniCall, the country’s only telemedicine service provider where individuals can directly receive treatment and consultation from experienced doctors, on August 4, 2025, a press release said. The MoU signing ceremony was held at the Board Room of Midland Bank’s Head Office in Gulshan-2, Dhaka. Md. Nazmul Huda Sarkar, chief technology officer of Midland Bank, and Parvez Ahmad, chief operating officer of CliniCall, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations.  Under this partnership, all Midland Bank cardholders (Debit, Credit Prepaid) will enjoy up to 40% discount on telemedicine packages and 15% discount on health packages from the CliniCall App and Website. Practical Leadership, the book written by Dr. Jahirul Haque, Vice Chancellor Canadian University of Bangladesh and published by ULAB Press was launched on August 4th in the Seton Hall University, New Jersey, USA. The App Forum (AF) a wing of Directorate of Career Counseling & Student Affairs (DCCSA), United International University (UIU) organized a reception ceremony titled “Meet the Champions of UIU”.  Felicity IDC Limited (FIDC), a state-of-the-art Tier-III certified data center, hosted a day-long industry study tour at its headquarters in Kaliakair Hi-Tech Park (KHTP), Gazipur. The visit, held on July 24, 2025, brought together 35 participants, including students and faculty members from the Departments of Architecture and Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at North South University (NSU). The State University Journalist Association (SUJA) has announced its newly formed executive committee. Md. Kaiyum Hossain (Bangla Tribune) has been elected as the President, while Fardin Alam (Nagorik TV, Canada) has been selected as the General Secretary of the association. TikTok has removed over 11 million videos from Bangladesh

 TikTok has released its Q1 2025 Community Guidelines Enforcement Report, showcasing its ongoing commitment to creating a safe digital space for its users. The report, which covers data from January to March 2025, details the proactive steps TikTok has taken to identify and remove content that violates its Community Guidelines, ensuring a positive experience for its global community. In Q1 2025, TikTok removed a total of 11,006,960 videos in Bangladesh. Proactive removal rates in Bangladesh remained high at 99.6%, with 97.7% of these videos removed within 24 hours. Globally, TikTok removed a total of 211 million videos worldwide in this quarter, which represents about 0.9% of all content uploaded to the platform. Of the removed videos, 184,378,987 were detected and taken down using automated detection technologies, while 7,525,184 videos were reinstated after further review. The Read more...
