Launching Ceremony of Scholarly Research Journals Held at International Standard University

A launching ceremony for the Journal of Business and Development Studies, vol: 03, Issue: 01 and the Journal of Engineering and Technology, Vol: 01, Issue: 01, was held yesterday at the campus premises of International Standard University (ISU). In the event ISU Honorable Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdul Awal Khan was present as Chief Guest.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Abdul Awal Khan emphasized the importance of publishing scholarly research articles to enhance both academic and professional impact nationally and internationally. He underscored the need for continued efforts by faculty members toward academic publication. Prof. Dr. Monjur Morshed Mahmud, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies (FBS), invoked the concept of "publish or perish," highlighting the essential role of research in teaching and academic life. Prof. Md. Abul Kashem, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, stressed the importance of disseminating the outcomes of published research among teachers, students, and other stakeholders to maximize impact.
Md. Mahbubur Rahman, Associate Professor and Director of the Center for Research, Development, and Publications, highlighted that all articles published in these journals have been assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs), and the journals are now indexed in OpenAIRE, a prominent European database for scholarly research. Furthermore, he mentioned that the process of obtaining Scopus indexing for all journals is actively underway and is expected to be completed in the near future.
Other Speakers also described the significance of journals for the students studying in Bangladesh and worldwide. From all over the world everyone also can enrich themselves by reading these journals online.
The event was chaired by Md. Mahbubur Rahman, Associate Professor and Director of the Center for Research, Development, and Publications. Special guests included Treasurer Professor H T M Quader Newaz, Professor Dr. Monjur Morshed Mahmud, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, and Professor Md. Abul Kashem, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, also enlightened the program.
