Courses are tailored to address contemporary industry needs. All departments follow the latest outcome-based education (OBE) as per the guidelines of UGC. In addition, the engineering programs follow the instructions of the Board of Accreditation for Engineering & Technical Education (BAETE) of IEB such as the inclusion of complex engineering problems and open-ended labs. Final year design projects also known as capstone projects are also included in the syllabus to make the students industry-ready and capable for research.
Currently, the School of Engineering is led by Prof. Dr. Shahidul Islam Khan, the Dean, a globally recognized academician in computer science and engineering. He has an extensive 22 years of teaching experience in renowned private universities of Bangladesh along with administrative experiences in different roles. The Head of the EEE Department, Prof. Dr. ASM Shihavuddin is well-known for his research. His research articles have already been published in the world's top journals such as "Nature” and “Science”. Both Prof. Khan and Prof. Shihavuddin are included among the top 5% of scientists worldwide by AD Scientific Index based on their publications and citations. On the other hand, the head of Civil Engineering Md. Mostafizur Rahman holds an MSc in Soil, Water, and Environment Additionally, he also holds a BSc in Civil Engineering degree from BUET. With a strong academic foundation and practical expertise, Mr. Rahman brings significant contributions to the fields of civil and environmental engineering. Besides the above three academicians, there are more than forty full-time and numerous part-time faculty members with brilliant academic and industry track records.

CSE Department commemorated Ada Lovelace Day with a full-day event that celebrated student accomplishments in software development, electronic systems design, and emerging technologies. The occasion not only highlighted the university's dedication to cutting-edge innovation and academic excellence but also reflected its strong advocacy for gender diversity and representation in the tech sector. Inter-University Competitions: By hosting events like the research poster competition, Presidency University cultivates a spirit of intellectual challenge and collaboration, encouraging students to excel in national and international platforms. Recently, At the "Jamelur Reza Chawdury Memorial Civil Engineering Competition (JRC CEnovus)," the Department of Civil Engineering achieved remarkable success, securing 3rd place in AutoCAD and 2nd place in the Quiz Buzz, outperforming prestigious universities such as BUET, KUET, RUET, DUET, and North South University. The event was graced by the legendary Dr. M. Shamim Zaman Bashunia from the field of Civil Engineering.
Kaptai Industrial Tour: The Department of EEE, Presidency University, arranged an industrial tour of the Kaptai Hydro Power Plant on 20-21 February. This tour was arranged to give the students a practical experience of hydropower generation and let them realize the complexity of power generation. Students visited the power plant and learned valuable things from the engineers there.
