AIUB Hosts Digital Security Training for Trainers

The Department of Media and Mass Communication (MMC) at the American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB) successfully organized a Training of Trainers session on Digital Security on Friday, 14 November 2025, at the permanent campus. The session was conducted by Sanjay Gathia, Programme Manager at the Asia Centre, who provided an extensive overview of urgent digital security challenges in today’s media environment. The initiative is part of the CJEN Bangladesh and Asia Centre – a civil society research institute in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Counsil of the United Nations (UN ECOSOC). BUFT National Textile Management Fair 2025 Concludes with Grand Success

BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) successfully hosted the “Shin Shin Group Presents National Textile Management Fair 2025” on 16 November 2025 at its Nishatnagar campus in Turag, Dhaka. Training on Outcome-Based Education for UIU Faculty Members

A student team Tech Wing - comprising of Kiyas Mahmud, Md. Maruf Hossain Munna and Syeda Shakira Akter — from the Department of Computer Science, American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), has been honored with an Award in the “Business Services” category (Student Division) at the Bangladesh ICT and Innovation Awards 2025 for their project “Hybrid Fraud Shield”. The award ceremony took place on October 18, 2025, at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), celebrating outstanding technological innovations and visionary projects from across the country. Supervised by Prof. Dr. Afroza Nahar and Ms. Nuzhat Tabassum, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, the project uses Artificial Intelligence to detect and prevent online financial fraud in real time.
