Four accolades for EBL at Mastercard Excellence Awards 2024

Eastern Bank PLC.(EBL) received four accolades at Mastercard Excellence Awards 2024. The bank was awarded for excellence in Business (Innovation), Credit Business (Domestic), POS Acquiring Business, and Online Acquiring Business categories for 2023-24.
Ali Reza Iftekhar, Managing Director and CEO, EBL received the award trophies from Dr. Ahsan H. Mansur, Governor of Bangladesh Bank, at a ceremony held on Saturday, November 16 at the Radisson Blu Water Garden Dhaka.
M. Khorshed Anowar, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Retail and SME Banking; Ahsan Ullah Chowdhury, Head of Digital Financial Services; Tasnim Hussain, Head of Cards; Faisal M. Fathe - Ul Islam, Head of M-Commerce and E-Commerce and others from EBL were present on the occasion.
Mastercard introduced the Excellence Awards in 2019. The sixth edition of the awards themed “Leading by Resilience” recognized various organisations for their contribution in the banking, payments, and fintech space in Bangladesh.
