On Saturday, November 1, the Ideas Challenge 2025 competition was held at the American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB) campus, organized by Shomoy, the Social Welfare Club of AIUB. This year’s theme was “Ideas that Change Lives and Shape the Future.” The event was inaugurated by Mr. Ishtiaq Abedin, Founding Member of AIUB. Also present were Group Captain (Retd.) Dr. Mohammad Zahidul Islam Khan, Registrar of AIUB; Professor Dr. Anwar Hossain, Advisor and Dean (In-Charge) of the Faculty of Business Administration; and Professor Dr. Manzur H. International Standard University (ISU), Bangladesh, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with INTI International University, Malaysia, aiming to foster international academic collaboration and broaden exchange opportunities for students and faculty. The MoU was formally signed by Professor Dr. Abdul Awal Khan, Vice Chancellor of ISU, and Professor Joseph Lee, PhD, Vice Chancellor of INTI International University. Professor Arshad Mahmud Chowdhury, Dean of the BSRM School of Engineering and Director of the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), has been appointed as Pro-Vice-Chancellor of BRAC University, effective from 20 October 2025. Serving as the dean since 2019 and IQAC director since 2022, Professor Chowdhury has over two decades of academic, research, and leadership experience in higher education in Bangladesh and abroad. Professor Dr. Mohiuddin Ahmed Bhuiyan, a distinguished academician and Dean of the School of Pharmacy, has been appointed as the new Pro-Vice Chancellor of the University of Asia Pacific (UAP).
