AIUB and Bangladesh Basketball Federation (BBF) Signs MOU

The American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) and the Bangladesh Basketball Federation (BBF) formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Monday, 27th January 2025 at AIUB Campus. Through this partnership, AIUB will be the official Education Partner of the Bangladesh Basketball Federation for the next three years, underscoring a shared commitment to fostering the development of sports and education in Bangladesh. Milestone Credit Transfer Agreement Signed Between SAE University College, Australia, and Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology

A milestone Credit Transfer Arrangement (CTA) Agreement was signed today between SAE University College, Australia, and Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology (SMUCT), Bangladesh. The virtual signing ceremony took place from the meeting rooms of both institutions and was moderated by Abdullah Al Masud, Advisor, SMUCT, and Ms. Jenna Schiller, Head of Education Partnerships, SAE University College. The agreement was formally signed by Dr. Luke McMillan, General Manager, SAE University College, and Professor Dr. Md. Shah-E-Alam, Vice-Chancellor, SMUCT. Two new LEED-certified factories have been added

Petrobangla's notice to terminate gas project is invalid, may affect energy security in country: Summit Group

Summit Group has urged the Bangladesh Oil, Gas and Mineral Corporation (“Petrobangla”) to reconsider a notice to terminate the country’s third Floating Storage and Regasification Unit (“FSRU”) project. It said the termination was not only invalid but that any delay to the project, for which Summit has already invested approximately USD 20 million on implementation, could result in further energy insecurity in Bangladesh. Summit LNG Terminal II Co. Ltd. (“SLNG II”), a Dhaka subsidiary of Singapore-based Summit Power International Limited (“SPIL”), wrote to Petrobangla to state its objections to the notice.
