BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) hosted a groundbreaking fashion exhibition, "Sculpted Elegance," where students of the Bachelor of Fashion Studies (BFS), Batch 222, showcased an innovative blend of Bangladesh’s traditional textiles with contemporary and sustainable fashion.
Held from March 10–11, the exhibition featured Jamdani, tribal fabrics, handloom textiles, and Gamcha, seamlessly integrated with modern themes like punk-inspired silhouettes, experimental draping, and tech-infused designs. A highlight was the Gamcha-punk fusion, transforming rustic handwoven fabric into bold, avant-garde statements. Students also utilized cyano dye, eco-friendly materials, and zero-waste techniques, reinforcing their commitment to sustainability.
