AIUBian in Europe – Season 2 Held in Frankfurt, Germany

The second edition of “AIUBian in Europe,” a special get-together bringing together alumni of the American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB) living across Europe, was held on August 29, 2026, at Saalbau Gallus in Frankfurt, Germany.
The event brought together more than 250 AIUB alumni and their family members from Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, and Finland. The gathering provided a vibrant platform for AIUB alumni to reconnect, exchange experiences, strengthen professional relationships, and celebrate their shared identity as members of the AIUB community.
The event was graced by distinguished representatives of AIUB, including Dr. Hasanul A. Hasan, Founder Member, Board of Trustees, AIUB; Mr. Ishtiaque Abedin, Founder Member, Board of Trustees, AIUB; Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, Member of the Board of Trustees and Former Vice Chancellor, AIUB; and Ms. Shania Mahia Abedin, Member of the Board of Trustees, AIUB, and the Deputy Mayor of Frankfurt was also present at the event.
The event was organized by a dedicated team of AIUB alumni, with the support of volunteers, whose collective efforts contributed significantly to the successful execution of the gathering.
The “AIUBian in Europe” initiative was first launched in 2024, bringing together AIUB alumni from across Europe with a shared focus on networking, reconnecting, and building a stronger alumni community. Building on the success of the inaugural edition, the second season in 2026 further expanded the initiative’s vision by bringing alumni together not only to celebrate their shared achievements and experiences but also to look ahead toward building a stronger, more connected, and collaborative AIUB alumni network across Europe and beyond.
The initiative reflects AIUB’s broader commitment to strengthening connections among its graduates and creating opportunities for professional networking, collaboration, mentorship, knowledge exchange, and community building. It also highlights the growing international presence of AIUB alumni and their contributions across diverse professional and social spheres. With the continued engagement of its alumni community, “AIUBian in Europe” aims to serve as a lasting platform for meaningful connections, fostering a strong sense of belonging and further strengthening the bond between AIUB and its alumni around the world.
