Bangladesh’s retail economy is powered every day by millions of neighborhood shops, small grocers, pharmacies, tea stalls and local retailers who serve communities at the closest point of consumption. Yet for decades, this large and high-frequency market has remained fragmented, with limited access to organized supply, real-time inventory visibility, efficient distribution, working capital, and data-driven business support.
PriyoShop is working to change that reality by building the infrastructure layer for Bangladesh’s MSME retail ecosystem.
In the first half of 2026, PriyoShop continued strengthening the infrastructure layer behind Bangladesh’s MSME retail ecosystem, connecting more than 250,000 neighborhood retailers with brands, distribution, embedded finance, technology and smarter commerce solutions.
During the first six months of the year, PriyoShop continued to build the backbone of inclusive commerce in Bangladesh by strengthening its retail infrastructure platform for MSMEs, connecting retailers, brands and financial institutions through supply chain, embedded finance, green logistics and technology-enabled distribution.
"Our mission has always been bigger than commerce," said Asikul Alam Khan, Founder and CEO of PriyoShop. "Every retailer we connect, every hub we expand, every partnership we build and every technology we introduce strengthens the foundation of Bangladesh's retail economy. We are building the infrastructure that enables neighborhood retailers to grow sustainably while creating greater value for brands, partners and communities."
With a focus on improving everyday business continuity for MSME retailers, PriyoShop
strengthened its network across Netrokona, Tarakanda, Purbadhola, Kalmakanda, Mohongonj, Madon, Sonargaon, Tongibari in Munshiganj and Kaliganj in Gazipur, bringing organized supply, faster replenishment and dependable last-mile delivery closer to neighborhood stores.
The company also deepened strategic collaborations with leading organizations including Coca-Cola Bangladesh, Grameenphone, Banglalink and other prominent brands, reinforcing its growing ecosystem that connects brands directly with neighborhood retailers. Innovation remained a key focus throughout the period as PriyoShop continued introducing
AI-powered capabilities and expanding its retail technology ecosystem to improve operational efficiency and enhance the retailer experience.
PriyoShop’s continued progress was also recognized through major industry accolades, including Best Retail Startup and Best B2B E-Commerce Platform. These recognitions reflectbthe company’s growing contribution to Bangladesh’s retail transformation and its role in modernizing one of the country’s most important economic sectors. Beyond business growth, the company continued investing in its people through AI training programs, employee recognition initiatives, healthcare partnerships, learning collaborations and engagement programs designed to build a future-ready workforce.
PriyoShop also strengthened Bangladesh’s presence on global innovation platforms by
participating in UNDP initiatives, Web Summit and Echelon. Founder and CEO Asikul Alam Khan further shared the company’s long-term vision for retail infrastructure and emerging market transformation through thought leadership published on e27.
Continued investor engagement, nationwide recruitment events and extensive media coverage further reinforced confidence in the company's long-term growth strategy.
As PriyoShop enters the second half of 2026, the company remains focused on expanding its retail infrastructure, accelerating technology innovation, strengthening strategic partnerships and empowering more MSMEs. By building a smarter, more connected and more inclusive retail ecosystem, PriyoShop continues advancing its vision of becoming the operating system for Bangladesh’s neighborhood retailers
