Presidency University Shines at “JRC Memorial Civil Engineering Contest: CEnovus 1.0”

In a remarkable display of talent and academic excellence, the Department of Civil Engineering at Presidency University achieved significant success at the prestigious “Jamelur Reza Chawdury (JRC) Memorial Civil Engineering Contest: CEnovus 1.0,” organized by the University of Asia Pacific (UAP).

Competing against top-tier institutions including BUET, KUET, RUET, DUET, Dhaka University, BSMRSTU, BAUET, North South University, AUST, East West University, Daffodil International University, BUBT, IUBAT, UITS, and UAP, Presidency University stood out by securing 3rd place in the AutoCAD Design Competition and 2nd place in the Quiz Buzz event.

Civil Engineering students Md. Sultan Mahmud and Md. Shohidul Islam jointly clinched 2nd position in the Quiz Buzz segment, showcasing their exceptional knowledge and teamwork. Additionally, Mosiur Rahman brought laurels to the university by earning 3rd place in the highly competitive AutoCAD segment.

The program was graced by the presence of renowned Civil Engineering icon Dr. M. Shamim Zaman Basunia, who attended as the Chief Guest and inspired the participating students with his words of wisdom and encouragement.
The remarkable performance of Presidency University was guided and mentored by Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, and Farzanul Islam Hemel, Lecturer, whose dedicated mentorship played a vital role in this achievement.
