ISU Organizes Freshers’ Reception Spring 2025

The Freshers’ Reception for Spring 2025 was held at the Mohakhali campus of International Standard University (ISU) on 26th June 2025 under the chairmanship of ISU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdul Awal Khan. The Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Engineer A. K. M. Mosharraf Hussain was present as the chief guest along with the Member Secretary of the Board of Trustees, Hasnat Mosharraf, as the Guest of Honor.
The Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Abdul Awal Khan, said that the student life is the right time to build one's life. To build a successful career, it is essential to focus on studies during one's educational journey. ISU is being run with an international standard curriculum. Both teachers and students must work together cooperatively to move the university forward. He expressed hope that, in the near future, this university will become one of the top universities in Bangladesh.
Highlighting ISU's proper initiatives to enhance students' proficiency in the English language, the Vice Chancellor also mentioned that the university is committed to creating and maintaining a student-friendly environment through modern classrooms, laboratories, qualified teachers, as well as theoretical, practical, and co-curricular activities. ISU is also providing part-time job opportunities according to students' qualifications and job placements after graduation.
Hasnat Mosharraf emphasized the need for a unique identity in today’s competitive world. “Set yourself apart—that’s how you stay relevant,” he said, adding that success requires more than knowledge; it needs humility, leadership, and a thirst for learning. He urged youth to focus on self-growth over comparison: “Outperform your past self—that’s the real achievement. Learn, don’t judge.”
The Member of the Board of Trustees Faheem Mosharraf, ISU Treasurer Professor H.T.M. Quader Newaz and the Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, Professor Dr. Monjur Morshed Mahmud, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology Professor Md. Abul Kashem were also present as special guests. Convener of the Organizing Committee Professor Mohammad Ali gave a welcome speech at the ceremony. Mrs. Mayesha Afia Jarin, Lecturer, Department of Law and Mrs. Nafisa Tabassum, Lecturer, Department of English, anchored the ceremony. Chairpersons of the different departments, Teachers, students, and administrative officers also attended the Freshers’ Reception program. The program ended after a wonderful cultural program organized by the students at ISU campus.
