The Ideas Challenge 2025 Held at AIUB

On Saturday, November 1, the Ideas Challenge 2025 competition was held at the American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB) campus, organized by Shomoy, the Social Welfare Club of AIUB. This year’s theme was “Ideas that Change Lives and Shape the Future.” The event was inaugurated by Mr. Ishtiaq Abedin, Founding Member of AIUB. Also present were Group Captain (Retd.) Dr. Mohammad Zahidul Islam Khan, Registrar of AIUB; Professor Dr. Anwar Hossain, Advisor and Dean (In-Charge) of the Faculty of Business Administration; and Professor Dr. Manzur H. Khan, Proctor of AIUB; along with club mentors, faculty members, officials, representatives from participating institutions, club members, and students. A total of 50 educational institutions from across the country participated in this year’s competition.

The participants presented a variety of innovative projects and posters related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), focusing on issues such as youth employment and gender equality, physical and mental healthcare, poverty alleviation, information technology, infrastructure and innovation, climate change, and food and waste management. At the end of the day, attractive prizes and certificates were awarded to the winners selected by the judges. At the award ceremony, Professor Dr. Saiful Islam, Vice Chancellor of AIUB, attended as the chief guest. Professor Dr. Abdur Rahman, Pro-Vice Chancellor of AIUB, was also present at the event. Following the prize distribution, a delightful cultural program was organized. The Ideas Challenge 2025 aims to play a vital role in nurturing students’ innovative abilities, fostering ideas for social development and contribution, and creating opportunities for mutual learning.
