New hub for technology sector in the capital: Dhaka Computer City

A modern commercial hub for the technology sector, 'Dhaka Computer City', is being developed on New Eskaton Road in the capital. This 15-storey IT complex, a joint venture of Hazari Group and City Development, has emerged as a new hub for technology business, services and innovation under one roof.

At the inauguration ceremony of Dhaka Computer City on Sunday (November 9), the entrepreneurs said that this will be the most modern IT commercial building in the country. It will have ready-made shops and office space, which will be available on a sub-kabla (land) ownership basis for rent. In addition, entrepreneurs will get the opportunity to pay money in bank loans and easy installments, which will make it easier for young entrepreneurs to start a business.

Dhaka Computer City has a state-of-the-art fire safety system, smart building management, adequate parking, backup generators, high-speed lifts, 24-hour security and high-speed internet facilities. In addition, there will be CCTV monitoring, fire alarms and smart access control systems throughout the building.

This project is going to be an ideal center for technology product distributors, resellers, e-commerce traders, mobile and hardware companies. There will be integrated exhibition and sales facilities for hardware, software, servers, robotics, CCTV and IoT products.

Speaking at the event, Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) Director and proprietor of Welkin Computers and one of the entrepreneurs of Dhaka Computer City, Nazrul Islam Hazari said, "We are creating a place for IT businessmen that will provide permanent and long-term solutions for them. In 2006, we established the 'BCS Computer City' Multiplan Center, now 'Dhaka Computer City' is the next step of that success. Here, businessmen will get ownership benefits, as well as the opportunity to buy shops in bank loans and easy installments."

Bangladesh Computer Samity Secretary Monirul Islam said, "This is not just a building, but an important infrastructure investment for the country's digital economy." Projects like Dhaka Computer City will create a permanent and safe working environment for entrepreneurs. We believe that new technology initiatives and innovations will be born from here in the future.

Smart Technology BD Limited Director Md. Mujahid Al Beruni Sujan said, DCC has been built on a solid foundation not only as a place, but also with the foresight of like-minded entrepreneurs and investors. It will be successful. Because people still go to the market to shop.

Dhaka Computer City Director and Chairman of Techno Group Kamal Hossain Selim said, Dhaka Computer City is a new generation IT hub. Our goal is to build a permanent center in the capital, where technology entrepreneurs can work together. We are building a complete commercial center with modern facilities, security and technology-based infrastructure. This will make the country's technology sector more dynamic.
