AIUB’s 23rd Convocation on 13 December

The 23rd Convocation Ceremony of the American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) will be held on Saturday, 13 December 2025, at 10:00 AM at the AIUB Permanent Campus. His Excellency Mr. Mohammed Shahabuddin, Hon’ble President of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and Chancellor of AIUB, has graciously authorized eminent scientist Dr. Abed Chaudhury to preside over the ceremony and confer degrees upon the graduating students.
Professor Dr. Mohammad Anwar Hossen, Honorable Member of the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh, will grace the ceremony as the Special Guest. This year’s convocation will be further enriched by the presence of Professor Dr. Habib Fardoun, Executive Committee Member of the IREG Observatory on Academic Ranking and Excellence, Brussels, who will deliver the Convocation Address.
In addition, Ms. Nadia Anwar, Chairman and Founder Member of the AIUB Board of Trustees and Prof. Dr. Saiful Islam, Vice Chancellor of AIUB, will address the gathering on this auspicious occasion.
A total of 1,766 graduates, having fulfilled all academic requirements for their Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, will receive their degrees. Gold medals and other academic distinctions will also be presented in recognition of exceptional academic performance, leadership excellence, and notable contributions to co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
The ceremony will be attended by distinguished guests, including Founder Members, Members of the Board of Trustees, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Treasurer, Registrar, Members of the Syndicate and Academic Council, Deans, faculty members, and senior officials of AIUB. Local and international dignitaries, ministry representatives, officials from the University Grants Commission (UGC), vice-chancellors, and delegates from various public and private universities are expected to be present. Students, parents, and members of the print and electronic media will also attend this momentous event.
