ISU Hosts Research Recognition Ceremony

International Standard University (ISU) hosted a research recognition ceremony to honour academic excellence and contributions to research at its media lab on Thursday.
Professor Dr Md. Hakikur Rahman, head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), was recognized for his longstanding contributions to research and knowledge-based education.
The program, organized by the CSE Department, was presided over by ISU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Abdul Awal Khan. Professor Dr Harikumar Pallathadka, Chancellor of Manipur International University, India, attended the event as chief guest and presented a PhD recognition award to Dr Md. Hakikur Rahman.
Addressing the event, the vice-chancellor said ISU continues to place importance on research, innovation, and academic excellence, stressing the role of research-driven education in advancing national development and global competitiveness.
Professor Dr Harikumar Pallathadka said research strengthens the global reputation of universities and noted that the academic contributions of Dr Md. Hakikur Rahman have earned international recognition.
Receiving the honour, Dr Md. Hakikur Rahman said research should serve society and humanity through the practical application of knowledge.
The event was attended by deans, department heads, faculty members, students, and university officials, including Professor Dr. Monjur Morshed Mahmud, Professor Md. Abul Kashem, Professor Dr. Mohammad Ekramul Hoque, Professor Mohammad Ali, and Registrar Md Faizullah Kawshik.
