Today on September 10, 2024, a business development conference was organized in the head office of Union Bank PLC. through virtual communication with all regional heads and branch managers to review the overall business of the bank. Honorable Chairman of the Board of Directors of Union Bank PLC. Mr. Fariduddin Ahmad was present in the meeting. Mr. A. B. M. Mokammel Hoque Chowdhury, Managing Director of Union Bank PLC. presided over the conference. Deputy managers of head office and heads of all divisions of head office were connected in the conference.
In the conference, the bank's latest deposit, investment, foreign trade and income-expenditure reviewed and expatriate income and ongoing liquidity position were discussed in details. In the conference, the Chairman of the bank is satisfied for stepping and efforts of the regional heads and branch managers regarding business development and liquidity.
The chief guest of the conference, Honorable Chairman of the Board of Directors Mr. Fariduddin Ahmed, on behalf of the Board of Directors, praised the steps taken by Bangladesh Bank to solve the existing problems of the banking sector. All the participants in the meeting were directed to properly highlight that Union Bank PLC. is a full-fledged Islamic bank through their activities. He thanked the Branch Managers for their hard work and courage in achieving the business targets set for the current year and solving the temporary liquidity problems.
