BUFT Donates Taka 15.5 Lakh to the Chief Adviser's Fund in Support of Flood Victims

BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) donated Taka 15.5 lakh to the Chief Adviser's Relief and Welfare Fund of the Interim Government of Bangladesh on September 18, 2024, to support flood-affected communities. The Pro Vice-Chancellor of BUFT, Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, handed over the pay-order to Mr. Faruk E Azam, Bir Protik, Honorable Adviser, Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, at a ceremony held at the Bangladesh Secretariat.

BUFT's donation is part of its ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility, with key university officials, including Prof. Md. Muinuddin Khan, Distinguished Professor & Dean, Faculty of Business Studies and Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences; Mr. Md. Rafiquzzaman, Registrar; Mr. Mohammed Nazmul Hossain, CFO; and Mr. Mohammad Imtiaj, Head of Public Relations Department, attending the event.
 
Prof. Khan highlighted BUFT's dedication to supporting communities in need, while the Adviser of the Interim Government expressed gratitude for the donation, urging others to contribute to flood relief efforts. The recent floods have devastated large parts of the country, and BUFT's contribution will help provide essential relief and rehabilitation to affected regions.
