Premier Bank holds half-yearly business conference 2024

The Half-Yearly Business Conference-2024 of the Premier Bank PLC was held on Saturday at Renaissance Dhaka Gulshan Hotel. Dr HBM Iqbal, chairman, board of directors of the Premier Bank PLC, graced the occasion as chief guest.  Managing Director & CEO Mohammad Abu Jafar presided over the event while vice chairman of the board of directors Moin Iqbal, members of the board of director BH Haroon and Abdus Salam Murshedy, MP; attended the occasion as special guests along with other senior officials of the bank. EBL opens first ever ATM services at Dhaka metro rail station

Malaysia expatriate Alauddin wins Nagad’s 5th plot

Bangladesh expatriate worker in Malayasia Alauddin has clinched the fifth plot in the country’s largest Eid campaign “Nagad e Jomi” launched by Nagad, a leading mobile financial service provider in Bangladesh, by sending home remittances through this MFS provider.  Recently, Muhammad Solaiman, deputy chief marketing officer of Nagad Ltd., and popular TV actor Ziaul Hoque Polash flew to Malaysia and handed over the land documents to Alauddin. This was the first land handover to a migrant worker and the fifth in total under the campaign. A total of eight lucky winners participating in the campaign will receive plots as gifts. City Bank recently signed a US$30 million loan agreement with OPEC Fund for International Development (the OPEC Fund) to support international trade by providing financing to import and export companies in Bangladesh, especially in the agriculture and green energy sectors. OPEC Fund Vice President Tareq Alnassar and Sheikh Mohammad Maroof, Additional Managing Director and Chief Bussiness Officer of City Bank signed an agreement in Vienna at the OPEC Fund Headquarters to promote trade of agricultural and green energy products in Bangladesh. Alnassar expressed `By partnering with City Bank to provide trade finance to suppliers in Bangladesh, the OPEC Fund will facilitate the flow of goods at a time of supply chain disruptions, thus addressing food insecurity pressures and climate change.
