This 15-storey IT complex, a joint venture of Hazari Group and City Development, has emerged as a new hub for technology business, services and innovation under one roof. Maruf Hossain Munna and Syeda Shakira Akter — from the Department of Computer Science, American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), has been honored with an Award in the “Business Services” category (Student Division) at the Bangladesh ICT and Innovation Awards 2025 for their project “Hybrid Fraud Shield”. The award ceremony took place on October 18, 2025, at Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), celebrating outstanding technological innovations and visionary projects from across the country. Supervised by Prof. Dr. Afroza Nahar and Ms. Nuzhat Tabassum, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, the project uses Artificial Intelligence to detect and prevent online financial fraud in real time. On Saturday, November 1, the Ideas Challenge 2025 competition was held at the American International University–Bangladesh (AIUB) campus, organized by Shomoy, the Social Welfare Club of AIUB. International Standard University (ISU), Bangladesh, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with INTI International University, Malaysia, aiming to foster international academic collaboration and broaden exchange opportunities for students and faculty. The MoU was formally signed by Professor Dr. Abdul Awal Khan, Vice Chancellor of ISU, and Professor Joseph Lee, PhD, Vice Chancellor of INTI International University.
