PriyoShop Unveils AI-Powered Bangla Voice Ordering

New feature lets retailers restock their shelves by speaking naturally in Bangla, replacing manual SKU searches with voice-first ordering.
PriyoShop recently announced the launch of AI-powered Bangla Voice Ordering, the first voice ordering system built specifically for the country's MSME retail segment. 5 million MSMEs are intending to frame the ‘first-ever AI voice ordering available in Bangladesh’.

The feature allows PriyoShop’s active retailers to place and manage orders by speaking naturally, rather than typing out product names and SKUs one by one.

Across Bangladesh, retailer communication has always run through voice rather than text. Yet ordering through an app has traditionally required retailers to type out each SKU manually, a slow and error-prone process for shopkeepers more comfortable speaking than searching.

PriyoShop's voice ordering feature was built to close that exact gap: retailers can now simply say what they need in Bangla and the assistant identifies the right SKU, quantity and order details in seconds.

Unlike voice ordering systems built around English-language interfaces, PriyoShop's assistant is designed natively for Bangla speech, recognizing regional phrasing, product names, credit terms and everyday retailer language.

For retailers who are less digitally fluent, this removes a barrier that has long kept them from the full benefits of app-based ordering. Faster ordering, easier access and stronger business continuity for those who might otherwise lose sales time to friction in the process. For MSME retailers operating on thin margins, minutes saved on every order add up to real business impact.

"Our country has 5 million retailers and they are not so digitally enhanced. They always need something easy to use. And all of them speak Bengali. They need something that can serve them with their own voice and language. That is why we built the AI voice order process in our app. Building a voice ordering experience around how they actually communicate is how we make sure the systems we build serve every retailer," said Asikul Alam Khan, Founder and CEO of PriyoShop.

AI voice ordering has so far been led largely by North American and European markets, with rapid expansion into Asia, Australia, and the Middle East, mainly through drive-thrus, phone-in systems and digital kiosks for fast-food chains and suppliers.

PriyoShop's launch brings that technology to a market it was not originally designed for, built from the ground up around Bangla speech rather than adapted from an English-first system.

The launch is part of PriyoShop's broader push to embed automation and AI across the retailer journey from ordering and financing to delivery and data, ensuring the technology adapts to Bangladesh's retailers, rather than the other way around.
