International Conference on Computing Advancement, in association with ACM held at AIUB

The fourth International Conference on Computing Advancement (ICCA 2026), organized by the Department of Computer Science, American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB), was held on October 15–16, 2026. The two-day international conference brought together researchers, scientists, academics, and technology experts from Bangladesh and abroad to exchange knowledge, discuss recent advancements in computing technologies, and explore emerging innovations. Participants also presented their research findings across a wide range of computing-related disciplines.
This year, ICCA 2026 received more than 900 research paper submissions from 17 countries, of which 214 papers were selected for presentation after rigorous review. The selected papers featured research contributions from Bangladesh and 17 other countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan, and Canada. The conference covered key areas of computing and technological innovation, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, the Internet of Things (IoT), Cybersecurity, Data Science, and Blockchain Technology.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Mr. Ishtiaque Abedin, Founder Member and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of AIUB and Secretary General of the Association of Private Universities of Bangladesh (APUB), as the Chief Guest. The event was also attended by Dr. Carmen Z. Lamagna, former Vice Chancellor of AIUB and Member of the Board of Trustees; Professor Dr. Saiful Islam, Vice Chancellor of AIUB; Professor Dr. Dip Nandi, Dean of FST and Program Chair of the conference; Professor Dr. Khandaker Tabin Hasan, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) and General Chair of the conference; and Professor Dr. Md. Abdur Razzaque, Chairperson of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at the University of Dhaka.
The closing ceremony, held on October 16, was graced by Dr. Hasanul A. Hasan, Founder Member and Chairman of the Board of Trustees, AIUB, as the Chief Guest. Ms. Nadia Anwar, Founder Member, Board of Trustees of AIUB; Professor Dr. Md. Abdur Rahman, Pro Vice Chancellor of AIUB; Professor Dr. Manzur H. Khan, Proctor of AIUB; Deans; Associate Deans and other senior university officials were also present at the ceremony.
During the closing ceremony, certificates and commemorative mementos were presented to the organizers and participants in recognition of their contributions and participation in the conference.
ICCA 2026 provided a valuable platform for knowledge exchange, academic engagement, and international networking. The conference is expected to strengthen international collaboration, encourage interdisciplinary research, and create new opportunities for joint research initiatives among academics, researchers, and technology professionals worldwide. Through this initiative, AIUB reaffirmed its commitment to promoting research excellence, fostering innovation, and expanding global collaboration in computing and technology.
